- The beginning of Philippines History started 50 million years ago, the archipelago was formed by volcanic eruptions, about 30,000 years ago the earliest inhabitants had arrived from the Asian mainland over land bridges built during the ice ages. By the tenth century A.D coastal villagers welcomed Chinese commerce and settlers.
- By about " 30,000 BC the groups of Negrito were the first inhabitants to settle in the prehistoric Philippines, who became the ancestors of today's aboriginal Filipinos such as the " Aeta " probably lived in the archipelago.

- The arrival of Islam in the Philippines, followed by the arrival of Muslim traders from the Persian Gulf, southern India, and their followers from the several sultanate governments in the Malay Archipelago. Islam was the first recorded monotheistic religion in the Philippines.

- 1521 European expedition to the Philippines Archipelago was led by the Portuguese Navigator " Ferdinand Magellan " in the service of King Charles of Spain in 1521. Magellan arrived in the Samar Island Philippines on March 16,1521."
- March 31,1521 The first Documented Catholic Mass in the Philippines, was conducted by Father Pedro de Valderrama of the Ferdinand Magellan Expedition. Location: Limasawa.
- April 7,1521 Magellan lands on Cebu to meet Rajah Humabon of Cebu and Enters into another Blood Compact.
- April 14,1521 The first mass in Cebu Province is celebrated with about 500 natives including Rajah Humabon and his wife baptized into the catholic church.
- April 27,1521 Magellan traveled going to Mactan with 60 armed men and 1,000 Visayan warriors where Lapu-Lapu had an army of 1,500 waiting on the land. Magellan and his soldier attack LapuLapu forces, Telling his companion Datu Zula to remain in the ship and watch. Magellan underestimate the army of Lapu-Lapu, Magellan and 14 of his soldier were killed in Mactan Island Cebu, The res manage to run away going to the ship.
- 1525 - 1540 Spain sends a lot of expeditions to the Philippines but they all Failed.
- February 2,1543 Spain sends the fifth expedition under Ruy Lopez De Villalobos to the Philippines. The Expedition Succeed.

- 1565 - 1898 is known as the Spanish colonial period, The Philippines was ruled under the Mexico-based Viceroyalty of New Spain after this the colony was directly governed by Spain.

- They taught Philippine people the English Language.
- They introduced Roman Catholicism to the Philippines Peoples, They successfully convert most of the people to do the same.
- They established and founded schools and Proper Education for Filipino people in the Philippines.

American Colonize The Philippines
- April 25,1898 the United States of America declared war on Spain and the commander of the U.S Asiatic Squadron, Commodore George Dewey was sent to engage the Spanish navy in the Philippines, Dewey attacked the Spanish fleet on the morning of May 1,1898 from his ship USS Olympia. The battle only lasted a few hours resulting in the complete destruction of the Spanish fleet at Manila Bay.
- The war was brutal on both sides, U.S forces at times burned villages, implemented civilian reconcentration policies, while Filipino fighters also captured and tortured soldiers and terrorize civilians who cooperate with American forces.
- Many civilians died during the conflict as a result of the fighting cholera and malaria epidemics and food shortages.
- The Commonwealth of the Philippines was established by the United States Government in 1935 with a view of granting Filipino independence within 10 years.

The Philippines is the third-largest English-speaking country in the world. It has a rich history combining Asian, European, and American influences. Before Spanish colonization in 1521, the Filipinos had a rich culture and were trading with the Chinese and the Japanese. Spain's colonization brought about the construction of Intramuros in 1571, a "Walled City" comprised of European buildings and churches, replicated in different parts of the archipelago. In 1898, after 350 years and 300 rebellions, the Filipinos, with leaders like Jose Rizal and Emilio Aguinaldo, succeeded in winning their independence.
In 1898, the Philippines became the first and only colony of the United States. Following the Philippine-American War, the United States brought widespread education to the islands. Filipinos fought alongside Americans during World War II, particularly at the famous battle of Bataan and Corregidor which delayed the Japanese advance and saved Australia. They then waged a guerilla war against the Japanese from 1941 to 1945. The Philippines regained its independence in 1946.
